Wilmar International Limited reported that it achieved a 10/10 score in The State of Children’s Rights & Business Benchmark 2026 by Global Child Forum and Boston Consulting Group, marking the agribusiness group’s fifth consecutive year with a perfect rating.

The company was ranked first in the Food, Beverage and Personal Care sector among 1,802 companies assessed worldwide. The benchmark evaluated firms on 26 indicators covering governance and collaboration, workplace, marketplace, and community and environment.

Wilmar stated that its performance reflects efforts to integrate child-protection measures across its global operations and supply chain. The group’s Child Protection Policy, introduced in 2017, focuses on embedding child-safeguarding practices, promoting education and awareness, and strengthening supplier compliance.

According to the announcement, Wilmar supports more than 12,000 children living on its oil-palm plantations in Indonesia, Malaysia and West Africa through access to schools, healthcare and essential amenities.

The company added that it collaborates with nongovernmental organisations and other stakeholders to raise awareness and build supplier capacity on child-protection standards.

Global Child Forum, a Stockholm-based non-profit founded in 2009 by the Swedish Royal Family, produces the benchmark to evaluate corporate performance on children’s rights.
