Huaneng Power International, Inc. (HUANENG POWER) has completed its thirteenth tranche of super short-term commercial papers for 2026, raising RMB3.00 billion through the domestic interbank bond market. The unsecured notes carry a 1.30% coupon and mature in 88 days.

The issuance falls under the RMB170.00 billion multi-tranche debt financing mandate approved at the company’s 2025 annual general meeting, valid until the close of the 2026 annual general meeting.

Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. and China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd. served as joint lead underwriters, forming the transaction’s underwriting syndicate and conducting book-building for distribution among onshore financial institutions.

Proceeds will be applied toward general working capital needs, optimisation of the debt structure, and repayment of existing bank loans and maturing obligations.

According to the company, the transaction does not constitute a notifiable or connected transaction under Chapters 14 and 14A of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited’s Listing Rules. Relevant offering documents have been published on the China Money and Shanghai Clearing House websites.
