According to Zhitong Finance APP, during this year's National Day Golden Week holiday (October 1 to 7), HK Express, a subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd (00293), recorded a 45% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic from mainland China to Hong Kong.

The number of mainland Chinese travelers who flew with HK Express and transited through Hong Kong to other Asian destinations also surged 1.6 times compared to the same period last year.

October 2 marked the peak of passenger flow, with over 13,000 mainland Chinese passengers arriving in and departing from Hong Kong on a single day.

HK Express stated that the performance of its six mainland China routes during the period was also satisfactory, reflecting that overall demand for mainland routes has remained stable.

Among them, the Wuxi route continued to deliver strong results, with an average load factor of 85% from the route's launch through October 7.
