Q Technology (01478) has published a sales update covering its major products for September 2026.
Handset product sales reached 50.176 million units, down 1.9% month on month and 19.7% lower year on year. Within that total, camera module sales came to 36.338 million units, a decline of 4% from the previous month and 16.7% from a year earlier, while biometric module sales amounted to 13.838 million units, up 4% month on month but down 26.8% year on year.
Automotive product sales totaled 1.182 million units, rising 32.7% month on month and 29.2% year on year. IoT product sales stood at 2.354 million units, slipping 0.7% from the prior month while growing 4.1% year on year.
The year-on-year drop in handset product sales was mainly due to weak demand in the smartphone market amid rising memory prices. The solid year-on-year growth in automotive product sales was mainly driven by customer project cycles and a clear year-on-year increase in the group's sales of camera modules and LiDAR products used in the smart automotive segment. The year-on-year growth in IoT product sales was mainly attributable to steady year-on-year growth in the group's sales of camera modules used in XR products and handheld imaging devices.
