Akamai Technologies (AKAM) is expected to deliver Q3 results at the high end of guidance, although agentic AI demand has yet to contribute significantly to revenue, while customers are evaluating security products such as Guardicore, Noname and Bot Manager, Oppenheimer said Tuesday in a note.
The company is scheduled to report Q3 results on Nov. 5.
The brokerage said its checks indicate that application programming interface security and cloud infrastructure services adoption is driving higher customer spending. AI crawlers are also increasing bandwidth consumption, leading some customers toward higher service tiers and bot-management tools, according to the note.
While agentic AI remains a longer-term opportunity, early renewals and additional security purchases could create upside in Q4 and 2027, the brokerage said.
The brokerage expects management to conservatively hold or slightly raise full-year 2026 guidance.
Oppenheimer kept an outperform rating on Akamai Technologies with a price target of $180.
