0728 ET - JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says ongoing consumer spending, in part, continues to fuel the U.S. economy. Spending by the bank's consumer cardholders was up about 9% from the prior year, or 1% from the second quarter, to $376 billion. Including debit, total card sales volume was up 10% from a year earlier. "Growth continued to be robust in Card, with strong demand for our set of products," Dimon says in prepared earnings remarks. Shares tick up 1% premarket.
