Nanya Technology (TPE:2408) expects DRAM prices and gross margins to stay on the higher side during the 4th quarter of the year, backed by an undersupplied memory market, according to the company in its earnings call on Monday.
The memory chipmaker booked a Q3 revenue of NT$133.7 billion, up 62% from the previous quarter, as DRAM selling prices shot up more than 60%.
Shipments declined around 4% to 6%, due to depleted inventories and gross margins were up 6.2 percentage points to 86%.
According to Lee, AI infrastructure-related products made up more than 20% of the company's revenue, while DDR5 made up 10%.
The company is also slated to start equipment installation at the new 5A fab facility in the first quarter of 2027, with a capacity of 30,000 wafers every month by the end of 2028 and 50,000 by the end of 2030.
