Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX) has asked permission to conduct up to 456 Starship launches and 912 landings per year at its Boca Chica site in Texas, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a notice released Tuesday.

The agency said will prepare a programmatic environmental impact statement and hold public scoping meetings on the proposal, with a draft to be released later and public comments due on Nov. 30.

SpaceX is currently authorized to conduct up to 25 launches and 50 landings annually at the site. The company's plan has two phases, with the first allowing 100 launches and 200 landings per year, according to the notice.

The environmental review will assess potential effects on air quality, wildlife, water resources, and other areas, the FAA said.
